On March 1, 2009, after 127 years, the monks of Oka left their monastery to move to the Abbaye Val Notre-Dame in Saint-Jean-de-Matha. The new abbey, built on a large property at the foot of La Montagne Coupée, will impress you with the bold architecture of its church, which is always open to visitors.
