Watch spellbound as the artisans at the Verrerie la Mailloche create wondrous items of all kinds from blown glass under the direction of internationally-renowned glassmaker Jean Vallières. Our gift shop contains a wide range of products made onsite. Visit our interpretation centre on traditional and contemporary glass and the international glassware exhibit. Located near the foot of the Breakneck Staircase and the funicular station in Lower Town, Verrerie La Mailloche is open year-round except for December 25 and January 1. Opening hours: Summer from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.; November to June from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except Thursdays and Friday until 9 p.m.. Demonstrations with commentary available for groups upon reservation for a small fee, which is reimbursed with any purchase at the gift shop. See glassblowers at work from Wednesday to Sunday. Verrerie La Mailloche was a Fidéides award finalist in the tourism category in 1995, 1996, 1999 and 2000.
